Social Skills Sessions for Kids and Adolescents
Social skills training/practice greatly benefits children of all ages as it sometimes takes them longer than others to develop the necessary skills needed to interact appropriately with their peers.
Some of the key areas we focus on during a social skills session include (but are not limited to) enhancing play skills, conversation skills, emotional skills, and problem-solving skills.
Play Therapy
A Happier, Healthier Child
Are you concerned about your child’s behavior or emotional well-being? At Manhattan Play Therapy, PLLC, we can help your child to learn new coping skills, enhance the parent-child bond, and equip you with strategies to take home with you.
Secure Attachment: Why it’s Important
Enhancing Attachment Bonds
Bonds with caregivers are a child’s template for relationships for the rest of his or her life. If you’d like to enhance the secure bond between yourself and your child, or if your family is facing issues related to adoption, I can help! Often this involves something called Dyadic Therapy, which is focused specifically on a parent and child.
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
We Can Help!
Trauma can pervade all areas of your child’s life and impact all the members of your family. If your child has experienced violence or loss, TF-CBT may be the right approach. Schedule a free consultation today!
